a. Since impulse is given to the body, so its momentum will increase and translation will occur. The impulse  does not pass through the centre of mass. Hence, the dump- bell will rotate and its angular momentum will increase

b. Here  passes through centre of mass. So rotation does not occur and angular momentum remains zero

d. Here body is hinged.So translation does not occur, rotation will be there so angular momentum will increase
