Hierarchy in classification as it reduce description of volume in catalogue of plants and animal. It can be illustrate by an example like Cannis familiaris is common dog, belong to family-Canidae. Genus Cannis are applied to wolf jackal of same family.

But later belongs to different species therefore species have more similarities, then genus but genus have more organism. Genera have more common characters are placed in a one family. And families which resemble each other are grouped in a same order. Which are grouped in a common class and class having common characteristic/feature form a phylum
