The disease xerophthalmia is caused due to deficiency of fat soluble vitamin-A (retinol). Calciferol or vitamin-D is also fat soluble but its deficiency disease are rickets, osteomalacia and dental caries.  Pellagra is caused due to niacin (vitamin- ) deficiency.
