(c) Krebs’ cycle is also called as citric acid cycle because citric acid is the first product of this cycle and also called Tricarboxylic acid cycle (TCA) because citric acid is a called Tricarboxylic acid. In eukaryotic organisms, all reactions of Krebs’ cycle take place in matrix of mitochondria because all enzymes of this cycle are found in matrix of mitochondria except Succinic dehydrogenase (located in inner membrane of mitochondria). |
