Answer Key / Explanation : (b) -

Total age of 4 members, 10 yrs. ago =  yrs. = 96 yrs.

Total age of 4 members now = yrs. = 136 yrs.

Total age of 6 members now =  yrs. = 144 yrs.

Sum of the ages of 2 children = 144 136 = 8 yrs.

Let the age of the younger child be  yrs.

Then, age of elder child =  yrs.

So,

∴  Age of the younger child = 3 yrs.
