Answer Key / Explanation : (b) -

In step I, the smaller number comes at the first position from left and rest of the line rightward. In step II, the word coming last in the alphabetical order comes at the 2^{nd} position from left and reset of the lines are rightward. In step III, 2^{nd} smallest number comes at the 3^{rd} place from left rest of the line rightward. In step IV, the word coming 2^{nd} last in alphabetical order comes at the fourth position from left the remaining line rightwards. Thus, number and words get arranged alternately till the numbers are in ascending order and the words are in reverse order.
