Answer Key / Explanation : (c) -

Let the present age of father be years and the present age of son be years.

∴ According to question, we have

                                                                                                            …(i)

Again, 3 years hence, age of father= years and that of son’s = (years.

or                                                                                    …(ii)

Solving (i) and (ii), we get and

∴ Age of father=33 years and age of son=10years

Alternative Method:

Let son’s present age = years then father’s age = (3years

∴ (age of son)

Also, father’s present age is 3years.
