At equilibrium, Ksp = S(2S)2

                                     = 4S3

 ⇒   Ksp = 4 × (1.84 × 105)3

Solubility in buffer solution having pH = 12

[OH] = 10−2

Cd(OH)2 

 

     Ksp = 4(1.84   10−5)3 = (10−2)2

⇒    =  = 2.4910−10 M
