Atrial natriuretic factor (ANF), a very important peptide hormones secreted by the artial wall of human heart, decreases blood pressure.

Melanocyte stimulating hormone (MSH), the only one hormone secreted by pars intermedia. Acts on melanocytes (melanin containing cells) and regulates pigmentation of the skin.

Gastric inhibitory peptide (GIP), a major peptide hormone secreted by endocrine cells, inhibits gastric secretion and motility.

Thyroid gland secretes a hormone called thyrocalcitonin (TCT) which regulates the blood calcium level.
