Write the measures of the complementary angles of the following angles.
i) $45^{\circ}$
ii) $30^{\circ}$
iii) $72^{\circ}$
iv) $88^{\circ}$
V) $38^{\circ}$
Answer:
i) $45^{\circ}=45^{\circ}$
$=45^{\circ}$
ii) $30^{\circ}$
$\begin{aligned}
&=90^{\circ}-30^{\circ} \\
&=60^{\circ}
\end{aligned}$
(iii) $72^{\circ}$
$\begin{aligned}
&=90^{\circ}-72^{\circ} \\
&=18^{\circ}
\end{aligned}$
iv) $88^{\circ}$
$\begin{aligned}
&=90^{\circ}-88^{\circ} \\
&=2^{\circ}
\end{aligned}$
V) $38^{\circ}$
$\begin{aligned}
&=90^{\circ}-38^{\circ} \\
&=52^{\circ}

Write the measures of the supplementary angles of the following angles
i) $80^{\circ}$
ii) $95^{\circ}$
iii) $110^{\circ}$

Answer:
(i) $80^{\circ}$
$=180^{\circ}-80^{\circ}$
$=100^{\circ}$
(ii) $95^{\circ}$
$=180^{\circ}-95^{\circ}$
$=85^{\circ}$
(iii) $110^{\circ}$
$=180^{\circ}-110^{\circ}$
$=70^{\circ}$
(iv) $135^{\circ}$
$=180^{\circ}-1350$
$=45^{\circ}$
(V) $150^{\circ}$
$=1800-150^{\circ}$
$=30^{\circ}$
