Question $1 .$

How much wire will be needed to make a rectangle of length $6 \mathrm{~cm}$ and breadth $3 \mathrm{~cm}$ ?
Answer:
Perimeter $6+3+6+3=18 \mathrm{~cm}$

Question 2.
If the length of a rectangle is $14 \mathrm{~m}$ and its breadth is $10 \mathrm{~m}$, what is its perimeter?
Answer:
Perimeter: $14+10+14+10=48 \mathrm{~m}$
 

Question 3 .
Each side of a square is $7 \mathrm{~m}$ long. Find its perimeter.
Answer:
Perimeter: $7+7+7+7=28 \mathrm{~m}$
 

Question $4 .$
If we take 2 rounds of a field, that is $340 \mathrm{~m}$ long and $160 \mathrm{~m}$ wide. Find the distance covered $\mathrm{j}^{\mathrm{n}}$ kilometers?
Answer:
Perimeter: $340+160+340+160=1000 \mathrm{~m}=1 \mathrm{~km}$
2 rounds $=2 \times 1=2 \mathrm{~km}$
 

Question $5 .$
Sanju completes 10 rounds around a square park every day. If one side of the park is $110 \mathrm{~m}$, then
find the distance covered by sanju in a day in terms of kilometers and metres.
Answer:
Perimeter $=4 \times 110 \mathrm{~m}=440 \mathrm{~m}$
10 rounds $=440 \times 10=4400 \mathrm{~m}=\frac{4400}{1000}=4.4 \mathrm{~km}$
