Deenu bought $15 \mathrm{~m} \mathrm{} 43 \mathrm{~cm}$ of shirt material and $23 \mathrm{~m} \mathrm{} 94 \mathrm{~cm}$ of trouser material. Find the total length of the material bought by him.
Answer:
Deenu bought shirt material $=15 \mathrm{~m} \mathrm{} 43 \mathrm{~cm}$
Deenu bought trouser material $=23 \mathrm{~m} \mathrm{} 94 \mathrm{~cm}$

Question $2 .$
A fisherman bought 2 nets. The length of first and second nets are $23 \mathrm{~m} \mathrm{} 43 \mathrm{~cm}$ and $25 \mathrm{~m} \mathrm{} 63 \mathrm{~cm}$.
What is the total length of nets?
Answer:
First Net length $=23 \mathrm{~m} \mathrm{} 43 \mathrm{~cm}$
Second Net length $=25 \mathrm{~m} \mathrm{} 63 \mathrm{~cm}$

Question $3 .$
Agathiya bought $70 \mathrm{~m} 42 \mathrm{~cm}$ of wire to fence his garden. He used only $43 \mathrm{~m} 51 \mathrm{~cm}$ of wire. Find the length of the remaining wire.
Answer.
Total length of wire $=70 \mathrm{~m} \mathrm{} 42 \mathrm{~cm}$
Agathiya used of wire $=43 \mathrm{~m} \mathrm{} 51 \mathrm{~cm}$

Remaining length of wire $=26 \mathrm{~m} 91 \mathrm{~cm}$
 

Question $4 .$
A shopkeeper sold $37 \mathrm{~m} 69 \mathrm{~cm}$ cloth out of $93 \mathrm{~m} \mathrm{} 75 \mathrm{~cm}$ in stock. How much stock is left with him?
Answer:
Total stock of cloth $=93 \mathrm{~m} \mathrm{} 75 \mathrm{~cm}$
sold of cloth $=37 \mathrm{~m} 69 \mathrm{~cm}$

Remaining cloth $=56 \mathrm{~m} \mathrm{} 06 \mathrm{~cm}$
 

Question $5 .$
I bought 125 metres of orange fabric and 50 metres of yellow fabric in a fabric shop. I have used
13 metres of the orange fabric and 12 metres of yellow fabric. How many metres of fabric is remaining with me?
Answer:
Length of orange fabric $=125 \mathrm{~m}$
Length of yellow fabric $=50 \mathrm{~m}$
Total $=125 \mathrm{~m}+50 \mathrm{~m}$
$=175 \mathrm{~m}$

Question $6 .$
Velu is $1 \mathrm{~m} \mathrm{} 15 \mathrm{~cm}$ tall. Her friend Babu is $1 \mathrm{~m} \mathrm{} 30 \mathrm{~cm}$ tall. Who is taller and by how much?
Answer:
Babu's height $=1 \mathrm{~m} \mathrm{} 30 \mathrm{~cm}$
Velu's height $=1 \mathrm{~m} 15 \mathrm{~cm}$
